If you are trying to hitting farther drives, then you will need to do one thing, get stronger. This will allow you to hit the ball much farther without having to exert as much energy. People think that they will be able to muscle the ball further simply because they have bigger muscles. Big muscles do NOT equal farther drives. In order to get stronger for you golf, you must learn how to train your core. The core is simply the most important part of the body for ANY sport and it is no surprise that it is just as important for golf. When you perform a golf swing, you are rotating and torquing your body to create as much tension as possible before you unleash and attack the ball. In order to get more torque, you must get more flexible and at the same time stronger. Players like Camillo Villegas are famous for taking golf to the next level physically and he has been one of the most fit golfers on the tour. He however was not the first as Tiger Woods is credited for making golf an actual sport and not just a sport to “play.” If you are serious about hitting it farther, you must get stronger.
